Today, for the first time in Europe, players were able to get their hands on Blizzard’s upcoming strategy card game Hearthstone. It’s a big draw at this year’s gamescom, with hours-long queues forming instantly when the show opened this morning.

We are delighted to have Ben Thompson, lead artist from the Hearthstone development team, in attendance at gamescom. At several points throughout the show, he’s demonstrating his skills by creating artwork live on the stage, using a tablet and the big screens. We’ll be collecting photos and the artwork he creates and sharing it with you in the coming days.
