Celebrate a Weekend of Hearthstone at the Summer Preliminary

The Hearthstone Europe Summer Preliminary and Tavern Hero Tournament are almost upon us! From August 12-14 we’ll once again be celebrating a weekend of card-slinging across Europe and South Africa.

Innkeepers have continued to heed the call - this season players will be able to join us live for the first time in Belarus, Belgium, Ireland and Lithuania! Additionally, due to some other new locations and changes to a few previous venues, we will be present in 7 additional new cities. The action kicks off on Friday, August 12, as players battle it out in the Tavern Hero Tournament. The top 32 finishers will then join 128 of Europe’s best-ranked Hearthstone players in the Summer Preliminary on Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14.

All of the above-listed venues will be open to the public, so come along and watch the action unfold, have a duel or two with other fans, and enjoy some of the side events lined up for attendees. Many venues are still hosting Tavern Hero Qualifiers, so you can still try to earn a place at the Tavern Hero Tournament on Friday, August 12—check out our Fireside Gatherings page to find one near you.

Additional Events and Rewards for Attendees

In addition to showing and hosting the Tavern Hero Tournament and Summer Preliminary from August 12–14, the venues listed above will also be holding various side events for attendees. That means loot and prizes will be available, so be sure to join us in person if you can!

If you visit any of the above-listed locations during the event, you’ll also be able to add the Power Core card back to your Hearthstone collection*. Additionally, all participants in the Tavern Hero Tournament and Summer Preliminary will receive this unique esports card back.

*In order to receive the Power Core card back attendees must simply participate in one of the side events at their location – winning in a side event is not required.
